Obama Speaks

President Obama took to the podium this afternoon to deliver an impromptu diatribe that left many Americans puzzled. “When Trayvon Martin was first shot I said that this could’ve been my son,” Obama said. “Another way of saying that is Trayvon Martin could’ve been me 35 years ago.” We were dutifully reminded of America’s violent past. We were reminded that black people in this country have long suffered at the hands on inequality and racism. Race-Baiting and the Profiteers

Last week, in the case against George Zimmerman, a jury of six women returned a verdict of “Not Guilty.” Since the declaration of said verdict, a handful of talking heads have made appearances, for no reason other than to roil the waters of racism. Jesse Jackson, Al Sharpton, and even the Attorney General of the US, have made it clear that this case was not simply about self defense, but something much more vile.
